Garrick Law acted for a client prosecuted by HMRC in a 3.3 million pound fraud trial at Southwark Crown Court.

About The Case

The fraud was alleged to be linked to other previously prosecuted frauds and high profile individuals. HMRC alleged that without the client, who was an employee of the HMRC, the fraud would have been impossible. It was

alleged that the client had lived a lavish lifestyle.

The team worked over a number of years, to identify the trial issues and in particular focus on cultural and mental wellbeing aspects of the investigation upon the client, which enabled the best outcome for their client, namely a suspended sentence.

Sunpritha Jutlla and the Garrick Law Crime team instructed Christopher Convey and Rachel Ferrari of 33 Chancery Lane.
