Aisha has already made a fantastic impression since joining, and we’re excited to have her on board. To help you get to know her a little better, we sat down for a quick conversation about her career, her outlook on the legal profession, and what she might be doing if she weren’t practising law.
Hey Aisha, Welcome to Garrick Law. What is it that you love most about working in private crime and regulatory law?
A - “Honestly, it’s the variety and complexity. What I love most about working in private crime and regulatory law is the variety and complexity of the work - no two cases are ever the same.”
That makes a lot of sense — especially in such a fast-evolving area. What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the legal profession today?
A - “If you have the drive and determination to become a lawyer, then go for it. The profession is demanding, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. That’s not to say it won’t be challenging at times, but you must never lose sight of why you started.”
And if you weren’t working in law — what do you think you’d be doing instead?
A - “If I wasn’t a solicitor, I’d be working in the field of children’s special needs. I have a real passion for supporting children who need additional support, shaped by my own first-hand experience. It’s an area that’s very close to my heart and one I find incredibly rewarding.”
