Narita Bahra KC

Do you have morning routine?

The key to a successful day is to start with your personal routine. This gives one time to focus on mindfulness and positivity before any interaction with those clients and colleagues who will rely upon you later in the day for support and guidance.

How do you fit everything into your day?

The key to achieving your daily outcomes successfully is to use your time wisely. Daily habits make these tasks less thought consuming and permit one to focus intellect and sound judgement, which is necessary to complete the key goal of the day, for my clients.

What is your daily goal?

I am passionate about accomplishing a winning result for my clients, regardless of the predicament they find themselves in. This often means being a driving force and leading a team fearlessly in difficult strategic or novel legal terrain.

What daily task do you set yourself?

My daily goal is to hone my communication skills. I do this by human connection, talking to a stranger daily. That one new interaction can often be very welcome, bring positivity and can change the direction of your life trajectory. Always be open to the world around you.

What is your goal as a defence lawyer?

My only goal is to understand my client’s story, think outside of the box and ensure I effectively and fearlessly present the best case for each of my clients, regardless of the obstacles faced. Achieving the best outcome when defending a client is what all winners do.

What is your view about learning?

In order to excel and produce great results one must surround themselves with excellent people. Excellence cannot be achieved in an environment of ignorance, mediocrity and mistakes. It is imperative to increase one’s depth of knowledge and continue learning. Never forget knowledge is power.

What is your current skill development focus?

Non-procrastination. It is so easy with those difficult tasks to put them off, especially when distracted by digital daily communications. Seizing the day, prioritising and clearing that difficult task, means all leadership tasks for the day can be achieved.

Advice to younger self?

Keep working hard, excelling at what you do, keep smiling, and positive recognition will follow.

Where do you go for your daily tipple?

After my morning walk to the office, I head to our local coffee shop adjacent to our office, so I can bask and engage in their positivity, smiles and daily banter. We have become friends, my coffee is prepared without the need to put in the order and when I am unwell, they even make me a hot wellness drink.

Thank you Narita.
